Hello, my name is "Cody", I am the newest member of the family. I am 11 weeks old and according to the mean place (I think my new owner called it a vet) I weigh 2.1 lbs. "Wow, I need to lay off the kibbles !" I am a Yorkiepoo, my dad is a Yorkshire terrier and my mom is a miniature Poodle. Now that you know a little about me... here is how it all happened. It was Sunday, I remember it well. I was making faces at some little kids and some guy eating an ice cream cone, when I noticed two people walking down the hall towards my store. I knew right then and there, those were the people I wanted to take me home forever. I had to think quick, for they were walking into the store. How do I make myself stand out above all the rest? I watched nervously as they worked their way around the store, wondering if they would even spot me in the corner. Finally they were coming my way. The woman spotted me first. "Mark there is some tan colored ones over here!"
HA! I have a chance. Time to go fishing! When the lady asked if she could hold me, I knew just what I had to do. She reached in and picked me up. When she pulled me to her chest I started kissing. I kissed her chin, I kissed her nose (sorry about the nibble, I got carried away), I kissed her neck, I kissed and kissed and kissed until she handed me to this Mark guy. I kissed and kissed, but that wasn't working so I grabbed his shirt collar, I bit at his shirt buttons, I even bit at the prickly stuff on his chin. This did the trick, because he said "Shelly, what are we gonna do?" By the way this Shelly person said that I, yes I," was gonna be a little shit and nothing but trouble," I knew I had to lay it all on the line....so I threw her the eyes, not just any eyes, but the most lonely, the most saddest, the most adorable eyes a puppy could throw. By the expression on Shelly's face, I knew I had them both. Ha! Call me a little sh#t! Hook, Line and sinker baby, now go pay the lady and take me home. They took turns holding me for a while, then they put me back behind the big glass door, and left. What went wrong, I thought. they seemed to really like me. Why did they leave? I was so sure.... Tap tap tap. Tap tap tap. What, Hmm, I must have dozed off, Yawwwwn. now whose tapping on the glass, cant they read?! Itssss them, the Mark and Shelly people and they're pointing at me, the store clerk is opening the big glass doors for them. The Mark guy picked me up and we headed to a different part of the store. Yes!!! Doggie accessories! That could mean only one thing!! They are going to take me home. I Knew I was right! They picked out a neet collar and a matching leash, they both had a neet design, something about a harley davidson, then headed for the checkout counter. Mark filled out some papers while Shelly went over instructions, they paid and we were on our way. The ride home was really scary, lots of noises. Just when it seemed like it had been forever, we stopped. We got out of the car and right away Mark puts me down in the cold wet grass. Is he mad at me already? Oh well, as long as I'm down here, I think I'll.....Ahhhh! just what I needed after that ride. Mark picked me up and we headed for house. As we were walking up, Shelly was coming back out with two other people in tow. Shelly pointed at me hiding behind Marks shirt. By the look of excitement in their faces I knew they were part of this family as well. After the introductions we all went into the house. Upon entering I happened to notice three big fur balls....scattering in all directions. Ha!
We went upstairs where he put me down so that I could learn my new surroundings. Wow, this is cool. This must be the living room, this must be the kitchen. This must be the dining room, this must be the hall..... wooah! Looking up I noticed two pictures of two different dogs. Who were they? The way the pictures were hung and by the lettering surrounding them. My people must have really loved them. They must be dogs that have come before me. I now realize for being a small dog, I now have very big paws to fill. Its been a very exciting day and I have just found my bed.
I lay there thinking what a lucky puppy I am. As I started to drift off to sleep I cant help but wonder what the other dogs before me had to do to make my people take them home. Because after all its not people who pick their pets, its us pets who pick our people.
GREAT POST!!!!!!!!!!!!!! Sounds like he will be A LOT of fun!!!!! Be sure and take LOTS of pics for us. Cody the WONDERDOG!!!! Brad
