Here we go again!

Hi, my name is Hailey, and I am the newest member of the family
I am a 24 week old, female Cockalier ( a Cocker spaniel & Cavalier king Charles spaniel mix). My color is blue merle, which is very rare for my breed. I also have very special eyes, one is brown and one is blue. Like Cody I to have a story, which actually started a couple of weeks before his time. About a week after their previous dog (Ares) passed on, my new owners had a void in their lives that needed filling. Mark was searching on line ( oodle, puppies for sale), when he came across my picture. He unplugged his computer and brought it downstairs to show Shelly and Jessica what he had found. They too immediately fell in love with my picture. A decision was made to make the phone call. Little did they know the call started downward chain of events that eventually led to Mark & Shelly (both with very broken heart), passing on me. First, I was a boy, Which I am definitely not!, then I had a heart murmur..... then I needed hip surgery. Crap! It ain't a wonder that anyone would want to adopt me at all. A couple days later someone did. It was not Mark & Shelly :( . Someone else fell in love with me and decided to foster me. I was with these people for about two and a half weeks when I too fell victim to the economy. One of my new owners had gotten laid off and they would not be able to adopt me permanently. During this period of time, and because I was rescued with a bunch of other puppies, it was found that there were some mix ups in puppies and vet reports. Things were finally straightened out at my latest vet check. I am female again. My heart is just fine, and I do not need hip surgery. Whew! Knowing how much Mark & Shelly initially wanted me, Jan at the center E-mailed Mark to see if they were still interested in me. The e-mail went out at 9:30am , I was on pins and needles all day waiting for a response. Would they respond? and if they did, would they even want me anymore? Finally, at about 10:00 that evening, the response came. The first part stated that things had changed....They had already adopted a puppy. I couldn't help but feel sad, I was too late. I barely heard the words as Jan finished reading. Something about fate, something about it was meant to be. They WANTED to meet me. Could they possibly have room in their hearts and in their home for another puppy? Jan E-mailed Mark & Shelly setting up a meeting for the next evening. After enduring the longest day of my life, the moment had arrived and so did we...at Mark & Shelly's House. I was warmly greeted by Mark, Shelly, Jessica and Andrew. It was love at first sight. We played out front while getting acquainted. This place is awesome, look at all this room to run and play. I am gonna like it here. Shelly set me down when out of the blue it came. It hit me like a storm, like locust, like a Tasmanian devil, like a tornado blowing me over. It was Cody the other puppy. It was a giant lint ball on steroids. Seeing how I had just been spayed, and not supposed to be involved in any rough play for a couple of weeks, they separated us. I see I am gonna need this time to teach this little sh!t some manners. We all went into house. While the kids and I got acquainted, Mark & Shelly filled out all the paperwork. We all went back out side so Jan could take a picture of me with my new family to post on their web site. We said goodbyes and waved to Jan as she pulled out of the drive way. I cant believe it! It actually happened. "Murphy" had been riding my back for so long, but in the end fate had won out. I am where I belong. We walk back into the house, walked upstairs and looked around wondering....now where is that little SH!T !
